Second Division
DIVISION TWO REVIEW 2006/07
SEPTEMBER
Bovingdon are the pace setters with maximum points from their three games with Riverside Seniors hot on their heels. Last seasons strugglers, 3 Lions and FC Sherman win two of their opening games. With four teams yet to pick up a point and the chasing group only a few points behind, this Division is going to close.
OCTOBER
The three unbeaten teams head the Division with Colne Valley Blues holding onto top place. Bovingdons one defeat sees them drop to fourth while the mid table pack pick points off each other to leave FC Boca Seniors without a point at the foot of the table.
NOVEMBER
FC Boca Seniors record their first win of the season but cant move off the bottom as Evergreen hold a one point advantage. All change again at the top as Bovingdon open a four point gap. Interwoods good form continues as they climb the table as the top six appear to have broken free of the pack headed by Watford Labour.
DECEMBER
Loop Construction and Watford Labour go above FC Sherman to finish the year in the top half. Colne Valley Blues and Riverside Seniors close in on Bovingdon with Headstone Reserves, Ecocall, Evergreen, Boca Seniors and West Watford stranded.
JANUARY
Interwood hit the top for the first time as Bovingdon lose out to Loop. Riverside continue to make good progress and remain the only unbeaten team in the Division as Headstone Reserves climb out of the bottom four.
FEBRUARY
Riversides unbeaten run comes to an end at the hands of Colne Valley Blues but they still take the top spot. 3 Lions head the mid table battle but FC Boca Seniors and Evergreen are seven points adrift at the foot of the table.
MARCH
Colne Valley Blues return to the top of the table but the chasing three teams have games in hand to make up the six points. FC Boca Seniors see their goals conceded tally creep over 100 as Evergreen move off the bottom.
APRIL
The lost weeks due to the weather earlier in the season sees a chaotic race for the title as the contenders face mid week games. With Colne Valley Blues taking maximum points from their remaining games it is up to Riverside to make use of their games in hand but a draw to Loop sees the title decided on goal difference. At the other end of the table, Evergreen pick up points to leave FC Boca Seniors trailing by eleven points at the bottom.
